Welcome!

Last Frontier Honor Flight Alaska

The Last Frontier Honor Flight’s mission is to transport Alaska war veterans to Washington D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their services and sacrifices. These trips are provided FREE of charge through donations from private individuals through corporate sponsorships.

Our veterans are aging to the point that some may not be able to go so there is a great deal of urgency to raise the necessary funds to get our area veterans to Washington DC and visit those memorials built in their honor.

Testimonials

I have never written to any publication before. However, my recent experience of having been chosen to go on a Last Frontier Honor Flight on Oct. 11 from Anchorage to Washington, D.C., on a five-day trip at no cost to the veteran has compelled me to do so.

I was very fortunate to be chosen to go to Washington DC on the Honor Flight in October, 2018. I was treated like royalty. I enjoyed it very much and I want to thank everyone that was involved in making it happen

Mission #11, October 2018

One thing I recall the most about the trip to Washington, DC were the greetings and welcomes at the Portland and DC airports. The waiting passengers, people coming out of the shops, some even came out of Alaska’s Horizon Boardroom. Amazing. A super surprise when our DC Guide, Sam, said we had extra time for a, first ever, stop at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) memorial. Enjoyed seeing the wheelchair he invented; the statue of him with his dog; the separate tributes to Eleanor. The entire trip was very memorable.
